The Gang

Two summers ago, Marissa studied Italian architecture in Rome at the Pantheon Institute. She took classes in cartography, structural analysis, and roman architecture analysis. During summer of 2014, Marissa interned for Southland Industries as a design engineer intern in Dulles, VA. She worked alongside multiple project teams to design mechanical layouts for proposals. She also helped analyze systems using Trace and created layouts using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

At Penn State, Marissa has been heavily involved with clubs and Penn State’s Dance Marathon. She has volunteered as a committee member for THON for the past three years. Marissa also served as the THON chair for Penn State’s Student Chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute, Student Society of Architectural Engineering. This year, Marissa works as a teaching assistant for AE 202 and hopes to be a committee member volunteering for THON. With the little free time Marissa has, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

After graduation, Marissa plans to join Southland Industries in Dulles, Virginia as an HVAC design engineer.
